Louis H. Laughlin, aged 34 years, died quite suddenly last Friday at half past four o’clock at his home on East Wabash Avenue. He had been a sufferer from consumption for several years but was able to be down town last Thursday. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon at half past two o’clock, the services being conducted by Revs. Fyffe and Runyan. Mr. Laughlin was a young man whose life was a busy and useful one and whose determined struggle to keep up and about business long after disease had incapacitated him roused the admiration of all. He did his duty under trying and adverse circumstances and even in his weakness his life was a bright example. – thanks to S for this one
