Died at the residence of his mother in this city on Friday the 1st inst, after a short but painful illness, Dr. Jos. B. Lasley, aged 25 years and 12 days. Dr. L had but just begun the practice of his profession, a knowledge of which he acquired under circumstances calculated to deter any young man not possessed of a most determined will, at the village of New Market, and had already won golden opinions among all whom he had attended. He was married but a few days before his death, thus leaving a young wife and widowed mother among the many who mourn his loss. -- kbz
