Mrs. Hannah Lasley died at 11:30 o’clock this morning at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. JC Duckworth in Highland. She was in her 84th year and was one of Crawfordsville’s oldest and most highly respected citizens. Mrs. Lasley has been in very feeble health for some months but a fall which she sustained a few days ago hastened the end. Mrs. Lasley was born in Virginia in 1811 but in early years removed with her parents to Tennessee.  Later they removed to Kentucky and finally to Indiana, the deceased paying Crawfordsville her initial visit about 1853.  Mrs. Lasley was twice married and was the mother of 7 children, two of whom survive her, Mrs. Duckworth and Mrs. Willis of Nebraska. The deceased confessed Christ during the days of girlhood and cast her let with the Baptist Church. During her long residence here she was one of the most loyal and earnest workers in the new Baptist Church. The funeral services will be conducted at the late residence in Highland Wednesday afternoon by Rev. Fuson. Interment at Masonic Cemetery.
