Larsh - Henry Clay

Word was received here Saturday morning that Henry Clay LARSH, 87, a former resident of this city has died at the home of his son, Herbert G. Larsh, San Francisco, California. Mr. Larsh was the oldest son of Tolliver & Jane Larsh. He was born at the old Larsh Homestead in Ripley Township on Sept 19, 1843. He moved from Crawfordsville to Bloomington, Illinois 34 years ago. Mrs. Larsh died and was buried in Bloomington 5 years ago. The survivors are two sons, Herbert G. Larsh, San Francisco and Fred J. Larsh, of Des Moines, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Mary J. Stubbins of this city; and a brother, John M. Larsh of New York City. 3 grandchildren also surviving. Burial will take place at Bloomington, Illinois at the side of his wife. A host of friends remain here who will remember him for his jovial disposition. The time of the services will be announced at a later date. - kbz
