Carman N. Larrabee, 81, of 1206 Lane Ave., Crawfordsville, a former Warren County resident, died at 8:15 a.m. Thursday (July 22, 1971) at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. He had been hospitalized two days and in ill health five years. Born June 30, 1890, in Warren County, he was the son of Sylvester J. and Cornelia Cronkhite Larrabee. He married Almyra Pearl Brown Jan. 14, 1914, at Danville, Ill. A life resident of Warren County, he had resided on West Lebanon Route 1 until moving to Crawfordsville eight and a half months ago. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Marshfield Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Larch of Anderson and Mrs. Doris Day of Shreveport, La.; a son, Sylvester N. of Crawfordsville; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the DeSutter Funeral Home. The Rev. William Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in the West Lebanon Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Friday.
