Largent - Neva

Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal Friday, 26 April 1901

Our hearts were saddened and the sympathy of the community is given to our neighbors in their recent bereavement. Little Neva, the daughter of Wm and Minnie Largent, was born May 6, 1899. After two weeks of intense suffering from a complication of brain fever and lung trouble, death came to her April 12, 1901, as a welcome release. She is another rosebud transplanted from this earth with its burdens and cares to Him who said, “Suffer the little ones to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” She is a link to bind us with her beckoning hand to our heavenly home. Let us all so live that we may meet her there, where suffering and sorrow are no more.

The funeral services were conducted by Elder Plunkett, of Crawfordsville. Interment was at the Odd Fellows’ Cemetery.
