MACE- Carl Raymond Largent, 57, was fatally stricken with a heart attack at 6:20 p.m. Monday at his home here. He had been ill since Friday. The Crawforsville Fire Department resuscitator squad was called after the attack Monday but could not revive him. He was born near Youngs Chapel Jan. 19, 1902, a son of Charles and Lottie Patton Largent. He was married to Callie Jennings of Crawfordsville Feb. 27, 1926. Mr. Largent was a member of the Ben Hur Lodge. Surviving are the mother; the widow; three sons, Carl and Leonard of Crawfordsville and William of Mace; a step-daughter, Geneive Fruits of Indianapolis; two step-sons, Roscoe Guinn of Mace; four brothers, Roland, Leslie, Paul and Leo of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Taylor and Mrs. Mary Darwactor of Crawfordsville, and nine grandchildren. Funeral rites are announced for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Noble Reeves Funeral Home in New Market, where friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday. Other funeral arrangements are incomplete.
