Anna C. Lang, 91, Greencastle, formerly of Indianapolis and Crawfordsville, died 7 p.m. Monday in Asbury Towers, Greencastle. Mrs. Lang was secretary for the Indiana State Highway Department for 26 years before retiring in 1978. Her memberships included Universalist Church and Queen Esther Order of Easter Star, Indianapolis, where she was a 50-year member. She was a Republican Precinct committeewoman at Wayne Township, Marion County and a 1932 Roachdale High School graduate. She was born April 23, 1913, at Putnam County, to Lonie and Ida Brothers Steele. She married Paul R. Lang May 13, 1944, at Indianapolis. He died Jan. 30, 1972. Survivors include three nieces, Sara Borden Lang, St. Louis, Mo., Nancy Borden Reichwage, Ft. Wayne, and Linda Lyon Hoyle, Greenbriar, Ark.; six great-neices; and one great-nephew. Two sisters Marion Borden and Esther Lyon are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., with the Rev. Velma Keesling officiating. Burial will be in Blakesburg Cemetery, Fincastle. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
