Anna C. Lang, 91, Greencastle, formerly of Indianapolis and Crawfordsville, died 7 p.m. Monday in Asbury Towers, Greencastle. Mrs. Lang was secretary for the Indiana State Highway Department for 26 years before retiring in 1978. Her memberships included Universalist Church and Queen Esther Order of Easter Star, Indianapolis, where she was a 50-year member. She was a Republican Precinct committeewoman at Wayne Township, Marion County and a 1932 Roachdale High School graduate. She was born April 23, 1913, at Putnam County, to Lonie and Ida Brothers Steele. She married Paul R. Lang May 13, 1944, at Indianapolis. He died Jan. 30, 1972. Survivors include three nieces, Sara Borden Lang, St. Louis, Mo., Nancy Borden Reichwage, Ft. Wayne, and Linda Lyon Hoyle, Greenbriar, Ark.; six great-neices; and one great-nephew. Two sisters Marion Borden and Esther Lyon are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., with the Rev. Velma Keesling officiating. Burial will be in Blakesburg Cemetery, Fincastle. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Anna C. Lang, age 91, of Greencastle, formerly of Indianapolis and Crawfordsville, passed away Oct 25, 2004.  She was born April 23, 1913 daughter of the late Lonie and Ida (Brothers) Steele. She married Paul R. Lang on May 13, 1944 in Indianapolis and he preceded her in death Jan 30, 1972.  She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Marion Borden in 1980 and Esther Lyon in 2003.  She was a 1931 graduate of Roachdale HS.  Mrs. Lang worked as Sec for the Indiana State Highway Dept for 26 years, retiring in 1978.  Mrs. Lang was a member of the Universalist Church, a 50 year member of Queen Esther Order of Eastern Star, Indianapolis and a long time Precinct Committeewoman in Wayne Twp, Marion County. Survivors include three nieces, Sara Borden Lang of St. Louis, MO; Nancy Borden Reichwage of Ft. Wayne, IN; Linda Lyon Hoyle of Greenbriar, AK; six great nieces, one great nephew and several cousins.  Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday Oct 30 in Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S Washington St, Crawfordsville with Rev. Velma Keesling officiating. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday Oct 29 in the funeral home. Burial will be in Blakesburg Cem, Fincastle, IN.  - kbz
