WAYNETOWN – Mrs. Mildred “Mid” Landis, 61, who with her husband had owned and operated the Boldt Milling Co. here, was fatally stricken at 8:30 a.m. Sunday in her home on the east side of Waynetown. She had been a member of Waynetown Baptist Church, Order of Eastern Star, Psi Iota Xi sorority and the Crawfordsville Country Club. Mrs. Landis was a 1932 graduate of Waynetown High School and she attended Indiana State University. She was born in Waynetown on July 30, 1914, a daughter of Ernest M. and Stella Merrell Boldt. She married Robert Landis on Oct. 16, 1934. Surviving are her husband; a son, Tom of Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Peg) Hamilton of Chelsea, Mich.; five grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Laura Bowman of Daleville. She was preceded in death by a brother. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Thomas Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen Malone officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. WAYNETOWN, Ind. (CNS) — Mrs. Mildred "Mid" Landin (sic), 61, died unexpectedly at 8:30 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 28, 1975) at her home in Waynetown. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Mrs. Landin and her husband owned and operated the Boldt Milling Company in Waynetown. Born July 30, 1914, in Waynetown, she was the daughter of Ernest M. and Stella Merrell Boldt. She was married Oct. 6, 1934, to Robert G. Landin, who survives. Mrs. Landin was a 1932 graduate of Waynetown High and had attended Indiana State University. She and her husband resided in Attica for seven years returning to Waynetown in 1941. She was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 435, Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Crawfordsville Country Club and many charitable organizations. Other survivors include a son, Tom of Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Peg) Hamilton of Chelsea, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Laura Bowman of Daleville, Ind.; five grandchildren and five nieces and nephews. A brother, Ernest, was killed in World War II. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Tuesday at the Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown. The Rev. Stephen Malone will officiate. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown. Friends will be received after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.--waw
