Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Lamson died at her home in Crawfordsville on Monday afternoon after a three months illness. She was born May 6, 1861 near Portland Mills. She was the daughter of William and Catherine Barnett Butcher. She married Mr. Lamson April 9, 1884. She is survived by the husband and one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Dunkin; two half-sisters, Mrs. Leona Warrick of California and Mrs. Mellie Dowden of Waveland, and one half-brother, William Butcher, who lives in Texas. For many years Mr. and Mrs. Lamson lived on a small farm south of Waveland, later moving to Crawfordsville. Funeral services were held at Freedom Church on Tuesday.
