Two boys, Omer Wilson and Harold Patton of New Market who passed the Harry LAMSON place south of town about half past 2 on Tuesday afternoon saw a man lying in the front part of a wagon over in the field with his head hanging over the side. On inspection they that he was dead but still warm. They came immediately to Waveland and reported that the body was brought to the Machledt store where it was viewed by Coroner Loop who pronounced it death from heart trouble. Dr. Ball who owns the farm where Mr. Lamson lives came down with Dr. Loop. Although not a robust man, he had not been under the care of a physician and his death was unexpected to those who did not know him intimately. He had complained of pain in his lungs as he thought and expressed the opinion that he might not live long and did not see how he was going to get through his summer's work. He was in good spirits at noon. Mrs. Lamson was at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas when the tragic news was brought to her. Funeral services at the Methodist Church this afternoon were in charge of Rev. NT Gottschall. Burial at Union Cemetery.
