Lamson - Delilah Burke

Mrs. Delilah Lamson, widow of the late Thomas Lamson died Monday morning at the home of her son, John, southwest of town. While feeble, Mrs. Lamson was able to get up on the morning of her death and prepare breakfast. Death came suddenly and peacefully. Funeral services at Union Church Wed. am. were conducted by Rev. S.K. Fuson. The deceased was born in Warren Co 1841. She was united in marriage to Thomas Lamson 17 Spet 1855. To them were born 11 children, 9 living, with 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren survive. Surviving children are: John, Ose, Charles, Rollo, Harry and Clarence of Waveland, Julius of New Richmond, Mrs. Martha Miller and Mrs. Florence Simpson of New Market. Mrs. Lamson was united with Union Baptist Church in 1868. She lived a Christian life and was a good neighhbor and a kind and loving mother.
