LINDEN -- Mrs. Inez Lamkin, 71, of Linden, died Tuesday at 1:20 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, where she had been a patient for 10 days. She had been ill a year. Mrs. Lamkin was born May 10, 1890, in Meade County, Kentucky, the daughter of William J. and Ellen Hickerson Hundley. She was married to Guy C. Lamkin Sept. 16, 1908, at Brandenburg, Ky. For the last 22 years Mrs. Lamkin lived near Linden at Rt. 6, Crawfordsville. She attended the Jackson Heights Methodist Church near Romney. She was a member at the Baptist Church at Salem, Ky., and a graduate of Black Warrior High School in Meade County. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Gray of New Whiteland, Ind., Mrs. Velma Lyon of Linden and Mrs. Frances E. Lyon, at home; three sons, Wade M. Lamkin. of Rossville, William N. Lamkin of Cartersburg and Guy L. Lamkin, at home; a brother, W. P. Hundley of Flora; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lamkin was preceded in death by three brothers and three half-brothers. Funeral services will be held at Helms Chapel Thursday at 2 p.m., Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial will be at Linden Cemetery
