Lambert - Grace

The funeral of Miss Grace LAMBERT was held this morning from the home on S. Green St. at 10, the services being conducted by Rev. Nave assisted by Dr. Cook. The high school class of which she was a member, 1905, attended in a body as did the Xi Kappa Theta fraternity of which she was a member. Interment at Oak Hill.
Note: Grace was born in November 1884 and died 2 Nov 1903 - she was the daughter of Henry Clay and Helen Craig Lambert, , sister to Kent Craig Lambert (1891-1982) who married Janet Snyder of Crawfordsville, who became the famous Young Adult author, Janet Lambert; also sister to Ward L. Lambert who was the Purdue basketball coach for so many years. Along with the famous boys, Grace's sister, Eleanor Lambert became one of America's best known publicists and began "America's Best Dressed List"
