Veedersburg -- Funeral services for Della Mae Lambdin, 89, were conducted this afternoon in FIshero Funeral Home here, with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Mrs. Lambdin was buried in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. A 50-year resident of Veedersburg, she died at 5 p.m. Saturday in Ben Hur Nursing Home at Crawfordsville. She was a former president of the Fountain County Welfare Board. She organized the MaMaRue club of Veedersburg, of which she was an honorary member. She also was a former member of the Veedersburg DAR, Eastern Star, Alpha Mu Sorority, Theta Nu Chi Sorority and the Friday Study Club. She was a member of the Christian Church and was educated in Wallace schools. Born Dec 29, 1882, near Yountsville, she was a daughter of William T. and Mary E. Rogers Wilkinson. She married Elmer A. Lambdin Jan 3, 1902 at Deer's Mill. He preceded her in death Sept 11, 1947. Survivors include a brother, Orval Wilkinson of Hillsboro, a sister, Mabel E. Taylor or Rt. 4, Crawfordsville and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Helen Marie, Sept 17, 1903.
