COVINGTON — Samuel Leroy Lamb, 76 [sic], died unexpectedly Thursday at his residence in Saratoga, Ind., after being ill for two weeks. Born June 28, 1913, in Veedersburg, he was the son of Samuel Oscar Lamb and Mary Elizabeth Brewer. He married Icie Hughey Sept. 23, 1959. Mr. Lamb was a resident of Fountain County most of his life. He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Shelia, 10; a son, Stephen, 7, and two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Lockhart of Attica and Mary Ellen Whyde, of Saratoga. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, with Rev. Frank Ryan officiating. Military services will be conducted before burial in Gordon Cemetery, Danville, Ill. --waw
