One of the saddest funerals ever held was that of Mrs. Clyde Beck Lafollette, which occurred from Bethel Church last Tuesday. Rev. Crim, of the Christian Church, preached the discourse. Mrs. Lafollette was born and reared in this neighborhood, removing to Thorntown about three years ago. She was possessed of superior attractions and her three lovely children all richly inherited the same personal charms. Interment took place at the Shannondale Cemetery. – thanks to S for this one
