Lafollette - Melinda Kennedy

Mrs. Melinda M. LaFollette, aged 67 years, the wife of Thomas LaFollette, died Sunday night at her home, east of the city. Her disease was consumption. The interment took place at Shannondale and then the funeral services were held at the grave. - thanks to Kim H

W.B. Kennedy, an attorney of Mattoon, Ill was in the city this week in attendance at the funeral of his sister, Mrs. Thomas LaFollette which took place on Wednesday. Mr. Kennedy was an orderly sergeant in a company which Gen. Manson recruited for the Mexican War and was also a soldier in the 15th Indiana regiment during the late war.
