Uncle George Lafollette died Monday after an illness of six weeks, with typhoid fever. he was 73 years of age and has been a man of remarkable health and strength. In his death his children lose a kind and affectionate father, his wife an excellent husband and the community a most upright and honorable citizen. He was such a man as the world can ill afford to lose, just, upright, honorable to the last degree, and one to command the esteem and respect of all. Doubtles he had his faults, yet they were few, and overshadowed by his many general traits. He was buried Wednesday afternoon besides his two daughter sin the Shannondale cemetery and to him we bespeak a "peace that passeth all understanding and 'abundant entrance" into tha tland form which none returneth . - kbz
