Relatives and friends of this place (Englewood) were shocked to hear of the death of Ancil LaFollette of Parkersburg. Mr. LaFollette was formerly principal of the Wilson school of this city. -- kbz

The death of Ancil LaFollette, a prominent school teacher of Russellville occurred Sunday morning at the home in Russellville. Death resulted from influenza-pneumonia. Mr. LaFollette was a commissioned officer in the US Army and received his discharge just before the holidays. Since his discharge he had been assisting in the Russellville HS and was coach of the basketball team. The school loses a splendid teacher as well as the community a splendid citizen. – kbz
