William Harm LEITH, former  resident of Waveland community died Friday night at 12:15 o'clock  from burns suffered in a coal oil explosion that occurred at his  home in Chicago earlier in the day Friday. Following the  explosion, Mr. Leith was removed to a hospital. His death  followed a few hours later. He was employed with Kraft Cheese Co.  in Chicago. Mr. Leith was the son of Ed and Reca Leigh and was  born at Beatrice, Neb April 27, 1915. He came to Indiana with his  parents when 4. He attended Veedersburg HS. Mr. Leith's marriage  occurred in July 1941 to Grace St. Marie. The widow survives  together with their daughter, Barbara Reca Leigh, age 18 months,  his father, Ed Leith of Veedersburg, his mother Mrs. Claude scott  of Waveland and a brother, Roy Leigh also of Waveland. Services  were held in memory of Mr. Leigh 10 oclock Wed. morning at  Machledt funeral Home, burial at Maple Ridge.

NOTE:  Although Leith and Leigh are intertwineable in this obituary, his NAME is LEATH
His Death Record in Chicago says he was born in Waveland, Indiana 27 April 1915 died in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois 27 October 1945 - buried in Maple Ridge on 30 Oct 1945 -- there is no stone, but his brother, Roy has a stone there as well as 3 others LEATHs.
