John M. Layne, the saloon keeper died on Wed. afternoon of
general prostration. He leaves a wife but no children. He was
from Brown Twp. originally, and was from one of the best known
families in the County, though of late years, he has been engaged
in the liquor business and making a losing venture of it. - kbz
