Layne - James Q.

Mr. and Mrs. Ira Sharp received word of the sudden death of
their brother in law, James Q. Layne on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs.
Layne were visiting his sister in Indianapolis where Mrs. Layne
was expected to consult a specialist. He became ill in the early
morning and died suddenly. Their home was in Brazil where they
had resided for more than 40 years. He was a native of Putnam Co.
where he taught school as a young man. He was united in marriage
to Rena BROWN 50 years ago who with one son, William of
Greencastle survive. Also one grandson and four sisters. Funeral
services were conducted at Brazil Saturday morning with burial in
Maple Ridge Cemetery, Waveland. Mrs. Layne is a sister of Mrs.
Etta Campbell and Mrs. Ira Sharp. - typed by kbz
