John Walter Lavely, 78 year old Mecca resident and retired clay worker, died at 7:15 p.m. Sunday in Vermillion County Hospital, Clinton. He was born to Mr. and Mrs. James Lavely Dec 3, 1880 in Daviess County. Surviving are the widow, Flossie: two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Coleman of Hammond and Mrs. Dorothy Miles of Sarasota, Fl; a son, John of Clinton and 8 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The body was taken to the Barnes Mortuary at Rockville pending funeral arrangements. - typed by kbz
