A Clinton (Fairview) woman was killed and three persons injured
in a head-on collision on US 36, 3 ½ miles east of
Rockville. Dead is Mrs. Louis (Lena) Lane, 63. In serious
condition, Union Hospital, is Mr. Lane 67, retired manager of the
Clinton District Indiana Bell Telephone Company. In addition to
her husband she is survived by a son, Joseph, in the US Army,
Germany. Parke County Deputy Sheriff Max Webb assisted State
Troopers in investigating the accident.
