Hubert Lamson, the 13-year-old son of Julius Lamson who lives on a farm near New Richmond, was shot thru the lungs and possibly fatally wounded on Tuesday. He, with two other boys, Charles Swadley and Rollo Beckley had gone swimming, taking with them a.22 rifle. In sport Swadley pointed the rifle at the Lamson boy, when it was discharged, the bullet passing within an inch of his heart. The boys were about the same age and great friends. Mr. Lamson is a brother of the Lamson boys residing here, and is commonly known as "Dude." He has had more than his share of bad luck. - typed by kbz
