New Richmond—Scott Alan Kunkel, 26, was pronounced dead at his home south of New Richmond at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 1989.
He was born Dec. 27, 1962 in Crawfordsville. He was a 1981 graduate of North Montgomery High School and also graduated from DuPage Horticulture College of Chicago.
He was employed at Kunkel Plumbing and Heating Co. of New Richmond and formerly worked in the seed research department at Pan American Seed Co., West Chicago, Ill.
Surviving are his parents, Roger and Janice Rogers Kunkel, New Richmond; two sisters, Lisa and Michelle Kunkel, both of Crawfordsville; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Lois Kunkel, and maternal grandmother, Alma Rogers, all of New Richmond; two uncles, James Rogers, Crawfordsville, and Max Rogers, Wingate, and two aunts, Sally Scott and Janet Brown, both of New Richmond.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday at Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown, with the Revs. Tom True and Mike Manning officiating. Burial was in New Richmond Cemetery. – thanks to S
