Funeral services in memory of Mrs. Dorothy Kumings will be held Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock at the home, 424 East Market Street. Rev. LP Marshall former pastor of the First Presbyterian Church here will conduct brief services and the choir of the same church will sing. The body will be placed in the receiving vault at Oak Hill Cemetery temporarily. Dorothy Rice was born in Ladoga, Ind, April 15, 1879 and was the daughter of David and Sarah Mitchell Thompson. Several years ago she was united in marriage to FW Kumings, who with two sons, Thompson Henry aged 10 and Winfield aged 8 survive her. Mrs. Kumings’ parents are also living as are two sisters, Mrs. TA Black and Mrs. WS Warren, both of this city, and three brothers, Harry D. Thompson of Crawfordsville, Robert Thompson and James M. Thompson of St. Louis. Mrs. Kumbins had been afflicted for some time with tubercular trouble and had lived out of doors in hopes of benefitting her health. Her brave fight in the face of tremendous odds was characteristic of one who possessed such fine qualities of head and heart. Her passing brings deep sadness to a wide circle of friends and leaves her family bereft of one who was well loved
