Alamo, Ind. (CNS) - Mrs. Hazel H. Kuhns, Crawfordsville Route 3, died in the Comfort Nursing Home, Lafayette, early Friday morning (Sept.26, 1969) after an illness of six months. Born in Owen County, Dec 10, 1895, she was the daughter of Charles A. and Laura E. Crowmer Jordan. She had been an area resident for many years, where she attended Alamo Christian Church. She received her education in Spencer. She was married to Charles Lester Kuhns at Spencer on Aug. 16, 1917. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. James (Darlene) Hayward, Lafayette, two grandchildren; four brothers and four sisters, who all live in the Spencer area. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown, with the Rev. John R. Servies officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. ALAMO – Mrs. Hazel H. Kuhns, 73, of Alamo, died early Friday morning in the Comfort Nursing Home at Lafayette after a two-week illness. Mrs. Kuhns was a member of the Alamo Christian Church. She was born Dec. 10, 1895, in Owen County to Charles A. and Laura E. Jordan. She was educated in Spencer County. She married Aug. 16, 1917, Charles L. Kuhns. Surviving are four brothers and four sisters of Spencer County, a daughter, Mrs. James D. Hayworth, of Lafayette and two grandchildren, Carla and Terry VanScoyoc of Crawfordsville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Servies-Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown. Rev. John R. Servies will officiate. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10:30 a.m. Sunday. – jlr
