Waynetown - Mrs. Mary Emma (Mayme) Krug, 82, died of a cerebral hemorrhage at 10:10 a.m. Friday at her home 1101 W Main St, Crawfordsville. She had been an invalid six years. Her condition became serious 10 days ago. Mrs. Krug was born Aug 22, 1876 in Waynetown, daughter of John and Martha Whitesett Zook. She married Charles K. Krug in Waynetown June 21, 1899. He died in 1926. She was a member of the Waynetown CHristian Church since she was 10 and had received her 50-year membership pin. She was educated in the local schools and after her marriage Mr. Krug opened the Krug Barber Shop here a business that has been in continuous operation by the family since 1899. Mrs. Krug lived here until 15 years ago when she moved to Crawfordsville with her daughter June. Surviving are 3 daughters, Mrs. Mildred Quillin of Waynetown; Mrs. Helen Riley of Chicago and Miss June krug of Crawfordsville; a son, Harry O of Waynetown; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were two sisters, Mrs. Kate Small and Mrs. Lou Small and a brother James Zook. Funeral services are set for 1:30 p.m. Monday at Servies Funeral Home, Waynetown with Rev. Homer M. Cole, pastor of the local Christian Church officiating. Interment will be in Waynetown Masonic Cem. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday. - transcribed by kbz
