Newtown -- Mrs. Josephine Pearl Krug, 86, died at 5:15 a. m. Thursday at Home Hospital in Lafayette. She was born in Cain Township, Fountain County Jan 19, 1880, a daughter of Simon and Susan Shade. She married Palmer Krug in 1901. Mr. Krug died Dec 27, 1954. Also preceding her in death were a son, Kermit in 1955, two sisters and two brothers. Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Krug had lived in the home of a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Irene Krug who is Fountain County auditor. Mrs. Krug had lived in Newtown for over 50 years and was a member of the United Church of Christ at Mellott. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Stuart French of Indianpaolis; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled 2 p. m. Saturday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro wtih Rev. Peter Heemstra officiating. Burial in Newtown Cemetery. Friends may pay respects at the funeral home in HIllsboro after 2 p. m. today!
