Clyde B. Krug, 71, of Country Club Road, died Tuesday evening in Lakeview Hospital at Danville, Ill. He was the owner of Krug Plumbing Co. and had been in heating and plumbing for 45 years. The Crawfordsville High School graduate was a member of the Crawfordsville Community Sportsmen’s Club and had served that organization as president, director and life member of the advisory board. Born April 11, 1903, at Crawfordsville, he was a son of William D. and Pearl Krug. He was married to Esther Jane Gilliland on June 14, 1922. She died in 1969. Survivors include two sons, William J. and David L. of Crawfordsville; three grandchildren, Sgt. Stephen Krug of Ellington Air Force Base, Houston, Tex., Mrs. Janet Ethington of Winter Haven, Fla., and Nancy Krug of Crawfordsville; and a stepgranddaughter, Mrs. Kandace Richardson of Overland Park, Kan. A sister is deceased. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Msgr. Henry F. Ward officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday. The family requests memorials be given to the Cancer Society. – jlr
