Mrs. Mae P. Krout, 81, 408 W. Main St., died Thursday afternoon at Carmen Nursing Home where she was a patient. She was employed 33 years at the former Crawfordsville Casket Co. Mrs. Krout was a member of the First Christian Church and the Senior Citizens Club. She was educated in Alamo Schools. Born Aug. 6, 1891, she was a daughter of Ivan and Emma Titus. She married Ora E. Krout Dec. 25, 1910, who died in 1955. Survivors include a son, Eugene D. of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Ruth) Stewart of Crawfordsville; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Branagin. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Howard F. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
