Krout - Henry

Henry Krout departed this life Friday morning, July 5, 1895, of heart disease, aged 57 years, 7 months and 12 days. He leaves a wife, four children and six grandchildren to mourn his departure. Mr. Krout united with the Lutheran Church at the age of 23, and has been a faithful member. He was a kind hearted parent, charitable and loved by all. Rev. Baine delivered the funeral discourse in a touching manner, taking his text from the 20th chapter of St. Matthew. A large concourse of relatives and friends were present to pay their last respects to the departed. The remains were laid to rest in the Lutheran Cemetery. The pall bearers were James Sanders, Travis Pickett, Bloomer Myers, Mat Clark, Henry Clouse, Lorenzo Myers, Howard Smith, and Manuel Myers. The family has the sympathy of all in this their sad bereavement. -s
