Franklin H. Kromm Sr., father of Franklin H. Kromm Jr. of Hillsboro, died Sunday (April 20, 1969) at St. Mary's Hospital in East St. Louis, Ill. Born March 12, 1886 in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Curtis and Electa Armstrong Kromm. He was married in 1906 to Lena B. McKenzie, who preceded him in death in 1957. Services at St. Patrick's Church Wednesday with burial in the Catholic cemetery. - Jlr

HILLSBORO – Franklin H. Kromm Sr., a retired interior decorator and father of Franklin H. Kromm Jr. of Hillsboro, died Sunday morning at St. Mary’s Hospital in East St. Louis, Ill. Born March 12, 1886, at Fort Wayne, Mr. Kromm was the son of Curtis and Electa Armstrong Kromm. He was married in 1906 to Lena B. McKenzie who died in 1957. Surviving in addition to the son residing at Hillsboro are two daughters, Sister M. Norine, a technician at Loretto Hospital in New Ulm, Minn., and Mrs. Albert (Geraldine) Hinton of Westchester, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Ayres of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Lena Lovejoy of Houston. Tex.; five grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Fort Wayne. Friends may call at the Mungovan and Son Mortuary, Fort Wayne. – jlr
