Waynetown – George F. Kramer, 79, was found dead in his back yard shortly after midnight Sunday morning by his foster-daughter, Wanda Kramer. Kramer had apparently been stricken by a hart attack some time Saturday night while carrying out ashes from a stove. Born July 12, 1898, at Lebanon, he was the son of Henry T and Mary Catherine Kramer. He married Etta Wells at Thorntown. He was a member of the Christian Church and was a veteran of the Spanish-American War having joined the Army in 1898. Surviving are the widow who was in California on a visit at the time of the death, a foster-daughter, Wanda Kramer, at home; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Herman Thomas of California; a brother, Harry Kramer, of Waynetown; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Springman of Attica and Mrs. Edna Gawthrop of Texas; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Dec 30 at 1:30 o’clock from the Grenard & Servies Funeral Home with Rev. John Cassady in charge. Burial was made in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Military services including firing squad were conducted by the Waynetown American Legion.
