Lola T. Kostanzer, 96, died Sunday May 2, 2004 in West Lafayette.  She made her home the past 6 ½ years with her daughter and son-in-law, Paul D. and Ronald J. Wright. Born Sept 15, 1907 in Putnam County, she spent most of her life in Crawfordsville, moving to the Friendship House in West Lafayette in 1986.  She married Paul H. Kostanzer on Oct 6, 1938. He preceded her in death Feb 3, 1964.  Mrs. Kostanzer was a sales associate for The Golden Rule and Steck’s Weathervane for a number of years, retiring about 1972.  She was a member of Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church in Crawfordsville. She had been a member of Athens Chapter 9, Order of Eastern Star and the SOS Club for more than 50 years. She was a former Girl Scout Leader and Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Kostanzer enjoyed traveling. Surviving besides her daughter is a sister, Florence Jeffries of Greencastle.

“Funeral” – Kostanzer, Lola T. – Friends may call at Hunt  & Son Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, from noon Wednesday until the service there at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Dr. John VanNuys officiating. Interment Oak Hill North Cemetery. Surviving are a granddaughter, Ronda D. Wright-Schwenn (husband Craig) of Palatine, Ill; a grandson Tim Wright (wife: Dawn) of West Lafayette.  Preceded in death by a son, Larry Joe Kostanzer in 1949 and a sister, Melissa Harbison. Donations to the March of Dimes.
