“41 Polio Deaths” by Associated Press
Two deaths today increased to 41 the summer’s fatalities from infantile paralysis in Indiana. 7-year-old Larry Joe Kostanzer of Crawfordsville died in Riley Hospital in Indianapolis and one-year-old Renee Strucker of Huntington died in a Fort Wayne hospital.
