While Rev. and Mrs. W.H. Martin of Mellott were here Tuesday to attend the funeral of A.H. Bowers, Mrs. Martin received a message announcing the death of her mother, Mrs. Knoop at Casstown, Ohio at 9 that morning. Later in the evening another message arrived stating her father had suffered a stroke of paralysis. Mrs. Martin and son Paul started from here Wednesday morning for Casstown and Rev. Martin returned to Mellott, going from there later in the day. Mrs. Martin's family has had great misfortune recently. On Christmas day the husband of one of her sisters, was killed in a mine in Arizona where he was a civil engineer and a short time afterward the huband of another sister died after a long illness. -- kbz
