James E. Knee, 71, of 506 Allen Street, died Tuesday morning in Culver Hospital. He was retired from RR Donnelley & Sons. Mr. Knee was a member of Oak Hill Tabernacle Church. Born Oct 8, 1906 at Veedersburg, he was a son of Samuel R. and Claudelia Kerns Knee. He was married to Eva Bratton who survives. Also surviving are three sons, James E. Jr. of Wingate and Charles and Jerry Wayne of Crawfordsville; a stepson, Jacob Stewart of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Dorothy May Fulton of Minneapolis, Minn; four sisters, Myrtle Stevens of Mellott; Mary Stout of Cates and Laura Newlin and Helen Pipher, both of Crawfordsville; 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Lester McGruder officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wingate.
