DENNIS L. KNAUER, 35, Waynetown, died Friday at his parents' home after an extended illness. Born April 17, 1959 in Putnam County, he was the son of Clifford R. and Patty C. (Laughlin) Knauer.
An auto mechanic, he was a 1978 graduate of North Montgomery High School, attended Ivy Tech and resided in Colorado Springs, Colo., for several years.
Survivors include his parents, Waynetown; a brother, John Knauer, Darlington; two sisters, Phyllis Cowan, Crawfordsville, and Kathy Williams, Indianapolis; and maternal grandparents, Carroll and Mary Laughlin, Crawfordsville. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cecil and Etta Knauer.
Services are set for 3 p. m. Tuesday at Cramer-Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown with Rev. Velma Keesling officiating. Cremation with private burial will follow. Visitation is scheduled from 1 p. m. until service time Tuesday.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and the Ronald McDonald House of Colorado Springs through the funeral home.
