Mrs. Mary Kline, 84, of Rt. 4, Crawfordsville, died Sunday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She had been a patient two weeks. She was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church ad its Delta Alpha Sunday School class. She was born near here on July 4, 1892, a daughter of Charles and Catherine Blackford Owens. She married John "Bunt" Kline in 1908. He died in 1974. Surviving are a son, Russell of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Hale Legg of Waynetown; two foster daughters, Mrs. Mary Alice Sullivan of Chattanooga, Tenn; and Mrs. Edith Snyder of Waynetown; four foster sons, Roy Smith of Sun Valley, Calif; Ralph Smith of Crawfordsville; Kenneth Smith of Kokomo and Lester Smith of Minnesota; 22 grandchildren and sevearl great and great great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Malone officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Waynetown – Mrs. Mary E. Owens Kline, 84, of Rt 4, Crawfotdsville died at 1:30 p.m Sunday in Culver Hospitqal. A native of this area Mrs. Kline was reared in the home of William Runyan after the death of her parents.  In 1908 she was married to JD Kline, who died in 1974. She was a member of Waynetown Baptist Church and Delta Alpha SS Class. Surviving are a son, Russell Kline of Crawforsville; one daughter, Mrs. Hale (Edna)Legg of Rt 1, Waynetown; and si foster children: Mrs. Edith Snyder of Waynetown, Mrs. Mary Alice Sullivan of Chattanooga, Tenn; Roy Smith of Sun Valley, Fla; Ralph Smith of Crawfordsville; Kenneth smith of Komo and Lester Smithinnetonka, Minn. - transcribed by kbz
