Dr. A.J. Kleiser received a message on Tuesday afternoon from the brother, Harry, at Terre Haute, saying that the older brother, George, had been found dead in his room. The deceased had been in good health but the day before had complained of a slight pain in his chest like pleurisy. The brothers are partners in law business and George had his rooms in the rear of the offices in the National block. On Tuesday morning, Harry did not go to the office on account of a sick headache, but George was seen on the stairway about 11. In the afternoon Harry went to his rooms and found him lying on his face by the side of the bed. Death resulted from neuralgia of the heart. The funeral services were held at the home of Harry Kleiser, Thursday afternoon by Dr. McCoy of the Centennary ME Church of which Mr. Kleiser was a member. Members of the local bar acted as pallbearers. Dr. and Mrs. AJ Kleiser, Mr. & Mrs.Albert Kleiser, Mrs Joseph Kleiser and Mr. & Mrs.TL Hanna attended the funeral. Mr. Kleiser was the son of Joseph Kleiser and was b. at the old home place in 1846. He studied law with John M. Butler in Crawfordsville and in 1876 went to Terre Haute where he has been in practice every since. He was one of the oldest and best known members of the Vigo bar. He never married. He was a great reader, especially of biography and Shakespeare. Owing to his brother's poor health he had been doing the major part of the business of the firm for several months. He leaves three brothers, Dr. AJ Kleiser, Albert and Harry. and a stepmother, Mrs. Joseph Kleiser
