Lem Kite, the account of whose death is taken from the Rockville Republican, was well known in Waveland, and was janitor of the school building one season. Lem Kite, age 53, died at his home, N. Jefferson St, last Fri night, following a second stroke of paralysis. Mr. Kite was born at Highhealth, TN, and at the age of 19 went West, later coming to Indiana. He resided in Guion till over a year ago, when with his family he moved to Rockville and was employed by C. W. Lee & Co. He is survived by his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Clyde Leatherman, Misses Vera and Olivene, and two sons, Taylor and Donald. The funeral was held Monday forenoon at 11 o'clock in Memorial Presbyterian church, Rev. W.F. Smith and Rev. J. M. Newsom officiating. The pall bearers were Tom Barnes, Elbert Phillips, Omar Phillips, Howard Clark, E. O. Phillips, and J. T. Alexander, members of Judson Masonic lodge. Flower bearers Mesdames Nora Phillips, Eulalia Hazlett, Lora Barnes, Minnie Phillips and Hazel Foncannon, members of Judson Easter Star Lodge.
