COVINGTON - Thomas Farel Kirkpatrick, 83, of Rt. 2, Covington, died at 5 p.m. Tuesday in his home. He had retired from farming in the early 1960s, was a member of State Line Christian Church, had resided in Vermillion County, Ill., for 13 years and in the Foster area for 45 years. Born April 13, 1893, he was a son of Fred and Dora Hart Kirkpatrick. He was married to Esta Mae Silva on April 28, 1917, at Urbana, Ill. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Earl and Paul of Rt. 2, Covington; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Marie) Wright of Danville; a brother, Glen of Rt. 3, Danville; three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Fannie) Allen of Covington and Opal and Zelda Kirkpatrick, both of Danville, Ind.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a step great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Burt officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery at Danville, Ill. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. - jlr
