Wingate - Funeral services for George M. Kirkpatrick, age 76, Rt. 1, Wingate, who died suddenly Friday morning, Feb. 19, at his home, were held at 2 pm Sunday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro. The Rev. Arthur Schenck officiated and burial was in the Meharry Cemetery in Wingate. Mr. Kirkpatrick was born April 2, 1888, the son of Edwin J. and Ada Martin Kirkpatrick. On Oct. 18, 1918 he was married to Ada Counts at her home in Attica. He was a farmer, living all his life on the farm on which he was born. He was a member of the Richland Twp. Farm Bureau, Purdue Ag Club, Newtown Methodist Church and K. of P. Lodge at Newtown. He was graduated from Newtown High School, attended the University of Illinois and was graduated from Indiana Central Business College. Survivors include: two sons, Kenneth G. of Linden and Robert E. of Veedersburg Rt.; two daughters, Mrs. Cleo Longdon of Greencastle and Mrs. Imogene Butler of California; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Sheets of West Lafayette, and eight grandchildren.  -- typed by Barbara B

Funeral services for George M. Kirkpatrick were conducted at 2 pm Sunday in the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home, Hillsboro with the Rev. Arthur Schenck officiating. Interment was made in the Meharry Cemetery, Wingate. Mr. Kirkpatrick, 76, of R.R. 1, Wingate, passed away at his farm home near Newtown where he was born and lived his entire life, Friday morning, Feb. 20, 1965 at 9:30 am. He married Ada Couts in Attica in 1918, and was a farmer. Mr. Kirkpatrick attended the University of Illinois and graduated from the Indiana Central Business College in Indianapolis. He held a certificate of judglis. He held a certificate of judgeship in corn and small grain from Purdue University. He was a member of Newtown Methodist Church, Newtown K of P and the Richland Township Farm Bureau. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth G. Kirkpatrick of Linden and Robert E. Kirkpatrick of Rt. 1, Veedersburg, two daughters, Mrs. Cleo Longden of Greencastle and Mrs. Imogene Butler of Los Alamitos, Calif.; a sister Mrs. Ruth Sheets of West Lafayette and eight grandchildren.  -- typed by Barbara B
