Waynetown- Mrs. Elizabeth M. Kirkpatrick, 59 of Waynetown who for the past 8 years has taught art at Tuttle Junior HS of Crawfordsville died early Wednesday morning in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She had been a patient since May 5. She was born March 3, 1911 near Wayentown to John L. and Mary Little Mullen. She married J. Nolan Kirkpatrick of Wingate Dec 18, 1932. He died in July 1959. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a member of 1st Church of Chrsit, Scientist of Crawfordsville. she was a member of the Waynetown Chapter 435, OES and Xi Chapter of Beta Chi Psi Iota. She graduated from Waynetown HS, DePauw University and studied at Oakland City College, John Herron Art Institute of Indianapolis & Arthur Jordan school of Music. She taught music and art in Waynetown and Alamo before teaching at Tuttle Jr. High school. Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Mullen of Wingate; two sons, John of Anaheim, Calif and Lee of Tallahassee; a daughter-in-law, Rita and a grandson, Lester Jay both of Tallahassee; two aunts, Mrs. Lena Davis of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Hazel Thompson of Waynetown; a great aunt, great uncle and several cousins. Her father preceded her in death in 1966. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Servies & Thomas Funeral Home, Waynetown, Harold Fortney of Brownsburg a reader in the 1st Church of Christ Scientist will officiate. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday - kbz
