Darlington – Mrs. Anna V. Kirk, 85, a lifelong resident of the Darlington community, died in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette at 2:15 p.m. Monday She was a patient there four days. Born in Darlington, she was a charter member of the Darlington Christian Church and a graduate of Colfax HS. Mrs. Kirk was a foster mother for 26 children during her life. In 1903 she married Jesse Kirk who died in 1939. There are no immediate survivors. - kbz
