Kiplinger - Gladys

Gladys A. Kiplinger, Rt. 1, Crawfordsville died at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday in the Americana Nursing Home at Lafayette. She had been in poor health for the past year. She graduated from Manual High School at Indianapolis and Indiana State. She taught at Mooresville and Seattle, Wash., for 40 years before retiring to her Shannondale farm in 1947. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church at Shannondale. She was the daughter of William J. and Charlotte Riggins Kiplinger. Surviving are two cousins, Mrs. Paul Hankins of Thorntown and Mrs. Al Grater of Lafayette. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Russell-Hitch Funeral Home at Thorntown with the Rev. Raymond Duff officiating. Burial will be in the Shannondale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. – jlr
