THORNTOWN – Millard Kinsler, retired farmer, died at 9:50 a.m. Friday at Culver Hospital. Mr. Kinsler, 83, had been in failing health for several years, and was admitted to the hospital only two days before his death. He was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church of Crawfordsville. The deceased moved to Linnsburg from Crawfordsville in December of 1968. He resided here six years prior to his departure. For over 35 years he conducted farming operations in the Shannondale-Ladoga area. A son of James and Anna Forthye Kinsler, he was born in Clinton County near Frankfort on Feb. 28, 1886. He was first married to Anna Godfrey and subsequently to Louisa Nivett. Both preceded him in death. A stepdaughter, Mrs. Thomas Whitehead of Linnsburg, survives. In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by two daughters, a brother and two sisters. Services are set for 2 p.m. Monday at the Russell & Hitch Funeral Home at Thorntown. Revs. Lee Russell and Clifford Personette will be in charge. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday and burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery at Thorntown. – jlr
